The Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, met with the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Stella Kyriakides at Maximos Mansion.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed that the election of Mrs. Kyriakides as President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe was a great honor for Cyprus and Hellenism, as there has not ever been another politician from Cyprus to hold a higher European and international office.
In addition, the Prime Minister stressed the crucial role of the Council of Europe in defending the human and democratic rights of citizens.
