Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, met today with the President of the State of Israel, Mr. Reuven Rivlin, who is making an official visit to Greece.
During their meeting the matters discussed were the importance of bilateral relations and regional developments. Also, it was pointed out that this visit takes place at a symbolic moment, just a few days after the International Holocaust Day.
The joint presence of President Rivlin and the Prime Minister at tomorrow’s ceremony for laying the foundation stone of the Holocaust Museum in Thessaloniki is of particular importance in the context of joint efforts to preserve memory and tackle hatred and racism.
