The Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, met today Professor Dr. Johann Georg Goldammer, head of the Global Fire Monitoring Center (GFMC).
During their meeting, which lasted about one and a half hours, it was agreed to establish a Committee to investigate the underlying causes of the tragedy at Mati, but also to prepare a report on the necessary policy measures to enhance protection against natural disasters.
The Prime Minister has committed that the Committee will have all the necessary support in its work.
