The meeting of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis with a delegation of the Italian Loans and Deposit Fund (CDP) and TERNA SpA (independent electricity transmission grid operator) took place today at the Maximos Mansion in a very positive atmosphere.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the full spectrum of issues concerning the energy and the environment. The possibilities for synergies and initiatives between Greece and Italy both in the private and the public sector were explored, ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit to Rome on 26 November where he will attend a working dinner with his Italian counterpart Giuseppe Conte.
The Italian delegation consisted of the Ambassador of Italy to Greece, Efisio Luigi Marras, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of the Italian Deposit and Loans Fund (CDP), Fabrizio Palermo, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of TERNA SpA, Luigi Ferraris, the Chief Investment Consultant of the Italian Deposit and Loans Fund (CDP) Pierpaolo Di Stefano and Head of External Relations & Sustainability of TERNA SpA, Luca Torchia.
The Greek team included Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Konstantinos Fragogiannis, Deputy Μinister of Environment and Energy Minister in charge of energy and natural resources Gerasimos Thomas, the head of the European Union affairs bureau in the Prime Minister’s General Secretariat Dimitris Mitropoulos, the Head of the Economic Bureau of the Prime Minister’s General Secretariat Alexis Patelis and the Advisor to the Diplomatic Bureau of Prime Minister’s Secretariat Grigoris Delavekouras.
