Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, had today a meeting with US Ambassador to Greece, Geoffrey Pyatt, in preparation for his visit to the United States from January 6 to January 8, 2020.
On January 7, Kyriakos Mitsotakis will have a meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House, while on January 6 he will attend the ceremony for the Water Sanctuary in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
During the meeting, there was discussion regarding the content of the letters that Greece sent to the Secretary-General and the UN Security Council.
The Prime Minister explained the Greek positions and actions in response to Turkey’s provocative actions.
The signing of the Memorandum with Libya has been described as a “provocative act” by the US State Department.
