Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis meets with representatives of large businesses and investment groups in Washington

The Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis held a meeting with 22 representatives of top businesses in Washington on Wednesday afternoon.

The Prime Minister introduced the developments related to the Greek economy, the reforms that have already been promoted by the government, the tax cuts already implemented and the plan for the promotion of denationalisations and big investment projects.

Subsequently, Mr. Mitsotakis had the opportunity to respond to very specific questions by potential investors regarding their investment interest in sectors such as energy, infrastructure (including ports), tourism, real estate, the financial system, as well as new technologies.

During the meeting, the investors emphasized the importance of political stability, the predictability of the tax environment, not only for businesses but also for their executives, and the speed at which their investment plans would be implemented.

Representatives of top global businesses in the energy sector (including renewable resources), the financial sector, real estate and new technologies attended the meeting.

Apart from the Prime Minister, the Minister for Development, Adonis Georgiadis, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs responsible for economic diplomacy and openness, Kostas Fragogiannis, the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and Government Spokesperson, Stelios Petsas, and the financial advisor of the Prime Minister, Alexis Patelis, also attended the meeting.
