Telephone conversation between Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had an extensive phone conversation with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel. During the conversation, which took place after Mr. Michel’s initiative, current issues that concern Greece were discussed, namely Turkey’s behavior, the situation in Libya and the Berlin Conference. It was reaffirmed that the President of the European Council is the guardian of the conclusions reached at the EU Summit on 12 and 13 December 2019.
Later, the Prime Minister spoke with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, who will be present at the Berlin Conference, as will Charles Michel. The conversation reaffirmed the support of the European Council’s conclusions and that the Greek positions will be expressed through the EU representatives at the Berlin Conference taking place tomorrow.
