Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a teleconference with the President of the European Council Charles Michel today, in view of the EU summit to be held on Thursday (also via teleconference).
Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Charles Michel discussed the proceedings within the EU, with respect to managing the economic impact of the pandemic through new financial instruments and joint interventions, which will ensure cohesion and solidarity between Member States.
The Greek Prime Minister also stressed the need to restore normal operation for the Single Market and called on European services to work towards a coherent framework for normalising transport and tourism activities.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Charles Michel also discussed the escalating Turkish provocations in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean.
