Participation of Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the meeting of Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia

Today, Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis participated in a teleconference for the quadrilateral meeting of Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia, aiming to exchange experiences in tackling the Coronavirus and find ways to facilitate cross-border exchange, transport and movement.
In the teleconference, which was realised in a rather positive spirit, the Prime Minister stressed that this year Greece is still expecting visitors from Balkan countries, who honour us every year.
During the teleconference, the conditions for the normalisation of cross-border tourism and transport, as well as hard-hit areas that were affected by the health crisis and are critical for the economic recovery of the countries in the Balkan region were discussed.
Particular emphasis was placed on the mutual lifting of the restrictive measures in place, a policy that will facilitate the resumption of travel for business, work and tourism purposes.
The teleconference was also attended by Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, Minister of Health Vassilis Kikilias, Minister of Tourism Haris Theocharis, Deputy Minister for Civil Protection and Crisis Management Nikos Hardalias, Head of the Prime Minister’s Diplomatic Office Eleni Sourani, Chief Economic Adviser to the Prime Minister Alexis Patelis and Greece’s Health Ministry spokesperson and infectious diseases expert Professor Sotiris Tsiodras.
