Telephone Communication between Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis and President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi

Today, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis held a telephone call with the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
In the course of the conversation, the two leaders reaffirmed the historic ties connecting Greece and Egypt in several areas. They also exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interest, confirming the importance of reinforcing coordination, both at bilateral level and in the context of the trilateral cooperation with Cyprus.
The two leaders also reaffirmed the congruence of views and interests between the two countries in the Eastern Mediterranean. Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Abdel Fattah el-Sisi reaffirmed their willingness to strengthen bilateral cooperation at all levels, notably in the areas of security, defence and the economy.
