Over the past three months we have come a long way in coming up with an ambitious response to the Covid-19 crisis.
And there is absolutely no reason why we cannot get a deal done at this Summit. What is at stake are the principles of European unity and European solidarity.
We should not lose the big picture. The big picture is that we are faced with the biggest economic depression since the Second World War.
Maybe some compromises will be necessary, but we need to be certain that we achieve an ambitious solution, because our citizens expect nothing less of us.
