Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with the US Vice President Kamala Harris, and they discussed the entire spectrum of Greek – American relations that are at their highest point ever.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis informed Kamala Harris of his intention to bring the amended Mutual Defense and Cooperation Agreement (MDCA) between Greece and the US, to the floor of the Hellenic Parliament for a vote within the next weeks.
They also examined the prospects of closer cooperation in the defense sector that are opening up following the recent, new amendment of the MDCA.
The Prime Minister briefed the Vice President on the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and underlined the destabilization risk stemming from the escalation of the Turkish provocation.
They also discussed developments in Ukraine.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis briefed Kamala Harris on the energy projects that Greece is promoting in the Eastern Mediterranean.
