Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a telephone conversation today with his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni, whom he congratulated on the assumption of her duties.
During their telephone conversation, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Giorgia Meloni went through a brief review of the bilateral relations and focused on the prospect of further reinforcing the cooperation and coordination in fields of mutual interest, such as the energy crisis and the migration issue, as well as the common challenges that both Greece and Italy face as countries of the Mediterranean.
They also agreed to have a continuous and substantial exchange of views on issues of common interest in the context of the European Union, in view of the forthcoming European Council that will take place on 15th December. Finally, they agreed to meet as soon as possible.
