Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met today at Maximos Mansion with the new CEO of the American Jewish Committee, Ted Deutch.
The Prime Minister pointed out the excellent level of Greek-American relations, while he made a special reference to the importance of Greece’s relations with Israel, which have assumed the form of strategic cooperation.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis presented in detail to Mr. Deutch the initiatives Greece is undertaking and the infrastructure it is developing – with the FSRU in Alexandroupolis at the forefront – in order to become an energy hub in the wider region, thus contributing to the stability, energy security of Europe and independence from Russian fossil fuels.
Mr. Deutch’s meeting with Kyriakos Mitsotakis is the first contact of the new CEO of the AJC with a foreign leader in his new capacity.
