Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with the leaders of the American Jewish organizations, American Jewish Committee (AJC) and American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
During the meetings, the Prime Minister underlined the excellent level of Greece’s relations with the US and Israel and the prospect of further strengthening Greek-Israeli relations, which was discussed during the Prime Minister’s recent meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Nicosia, on the sidelines of the Trilateral Summit of Greece-Cyprus-Israel.
The Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by Israel during the natural disasters that hit Greece.
They also exchanged views on international and regional issues, placing emphasis on the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East.
The Prime Minister made special reference to the Asia-Middle East Corridor, in which Greece can become a bridge to Europe.
