Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ meeting with the leader of the British Labour Party Keir Starmer

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a meeting with the leader of the British Labour Party, Sir Keir Starmer, at the Greek Ambassador’s residence in London.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of Greek-British relations, while the need to promote cooperation between Greece, Britain and EU countries was underlined.

The Prime Minister and the Labour Party leader discussed Greece’s economic successes and infrastructure investment, while Mr Starmer presented his development plan for the United Kingdom.

Furthermore, they discussed the importance of close cooperation on issues of broader European security, migration and actions against climate change, as well as the important cultural ties between the two countries, including the great contribution of the UK’s Greek communities to British society.

They also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East and agreed on the importance of humanitarian pauses.
