Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with the Prime Minister of Lebanon Najib Mikati on the sidelines of the 79th UN General Assembly.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Lebanon. The Prime Minister underlined the need for de-escalation in order to avoid the war spreading to the whole region, endangering regional stability.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressed his support for the proposal for an immediate 21-day ceasefire.
